7 COMPLETELY WEIRD BUT USEFUL THINGS YOU CAN DO ON THE INTERNET

No doubt the internet is a weird place to be the only challenge is it is that useful? When I started out in programming/hacking and general IT stuff, I always liked to ask the guru's in that field questions and they all gave the same answer almost all the time, "GOOGLE IT". Yes, it was hella frustrating and I thought they were just being proud and unnecessarily wicked (I mean, why would you tell me to do research when you can just tell me the answer right now? 😩). But then when I actually googled I found out something, it is actually easier to just google it for real (no cap). And now I even give the same answer to all the people who also DM me with technical questions, "JUST FREAKIN GOOGLE IT". Other times, I just google their exact question myself then send them a screenshot of the first few results (so they get the idea).

The amount of stuff you can actually find and do on the internet is endless. From editing pictures to AI powered tools to even saving yourself hours of long painful coding sessions by just borrowing someone else's code (PS: make sure the code is opensource o. No be me send you steal pesin code 👀👀).

I think I've made my point. So now, the 7 completely weird but useful things you can find or do on the internet

1. EDIT PHOTOS

This one seems pretty obvious but its actually a great asset. This can save you time and ALOT of money when you can find the right sites. From removing/changing backgrounds to switching colors to even changing your eye color. With the internet you don't have to spend months(or years) to learn photoshop or GIMP to do basic image manipulation (you need no experience at all). And if you do it right you can change your shitty itel picture to a sharp iPhone pic, no cap.

2. CONVERT TO AND FROM PDF FORMAT

Yeah, you can actually convert .doc, .docx, .txt to .pdf. Weird enough you can even convert image files (.png, .jpg and .jpeg) to pdf. So, next time you have that assignment/termpaper that should be submitted in pdf format or you need to submit your certs or qualifications in pdf format google it and don't run to the cyber café, do it yourself (because you FREAKIN can). 

3. WRITE AN ESSAY

One of the craziest. Read these words carefully, A ROBOT CAN ACTUALLY WRITE AN ESSAY FOR YOU. There are websites with AI powered robots that can write 

a whole essay for you. Some may write only the introduction while there are others can can write the entire essay! This one is super useful foe people like me that just hate essays.

An average essay writter on fiverr will charge around $20 for an essay. I've seen people who charge up to $160 (what a wicked world!). 

4. MAKE A DECISION FOR YOU

I had a decision to make one time (I couldn't decide whether to go or not). So I literally googled, "make a decision for me" and the first result was a yes or no wheel.

Though I advice you shouldn't leave important decisions to chance. But I just want to show you what is possible and readily available. 

5. GITHUB

The greatest web resource out there for both developers and even the general public. With literally millions of tools. Apart from the really useful tools and open source projects

there, sometimes programmers like to be funny. The weirdest I could find is the project, "is equal to 13". It obviously checks whether a number is equal to 13. On almost every programming language,

to do that would look something like this:

if number == 13:

    print("true")

else:

       print("false")

But that's the joke. These guys actually did this exact same thing with over a hundred lines of code and it took like 9 developers.

I admit this one is not actually useful, but it is hella weird.

6. LIE DETECTOR

Apparently you can actually detect lies online. Although most of the websites are just click bait and not genuine but still its actually fun to think about. Real Lie Detector Pro

is the only app that comes close to detecting lies for real. Even though you can still pass most of these detectors fairly easily.

7. ORDER LIGHT SABER CHPSTICKS

This is what puts the weird in this post. You can actually go online and just order light saber chopsticks (like wtf?!). Imagine fighting for the last piece of food with these (be like, "a star wars scene over the last dodo"). You can order two pairs of these for $15 on Amazon.  

FUN FACT: There is a website called D-E-F-I-N-I-T-E-L-Y.COM . It does exacly what you think. It's to help people spell "definitely" correctly. It even has publications and ads where people

spelled "definitely" wrong. You would be surprised the number of people that can't spell the word.

You have a problem or you're confused on something, don't ask cocky people you think know it all (like me), just google it.
